Markets, odds, and trading
Opening a market
Step into any hall and you will see its market booths. Clicking one takes you into that market's lounge.

Inside, read the question and the YES/NO prices. Prices sit on a 0–1 scale that looks like probability (2¢ means the den thinks it is very unlikely, 98¢ very likely) but they promise neither the outcome nor a profit.
The panel does not show a separate close time, so re-check the latest price and whether the buttons are still active right before you trade. A trade against a market that has already closed can fail.

Buy
Booths are played in $GOLD. Nothing moves on a chain for these.
- Choose YES or NO.
- Pick one of the amounts on screen, or type your own. The smallest stake the
house will take is 1
$GOLD. - Review the shares, cost, and payout shown.
- Confirm. Your wallet will ask you to sign a message that names the order.
That signature is consent, not a payment. No
$DENleaves the wallet, and no gas is spent on a fill. - After it confirms, the position lands in your book. During Orientation,
press Open your book to see it. The top-bar name opens Character instead;
it shows the
$GOLDsummary and positions, but it is not the full book.
If your purse is empty, claim the opening purse from the top bar, win
some at another booth, or buy $GOLD at Nori's table. If the panel says
betting is closed, it stays closed no matter what the prices show.
Sell
A $GOLD booth position is not sold back. It runs until the question
settles, and the payout lands in your purse on its own. There is no Sell
button on that book.
Selling is for the older $DEN markets. Talk to Pawnbroker Much in
the plaza; that is the current selling surface. He sells your whole holding on
that side, not part of it. Read the live refund quote, including any shortfall,
then confirm it a second time before the wallet request, depending on where the
price has moved, you can get back less than you paid. That path is an on-chain
transaction.
Understanding outcomes
Booth bets are played in $GOLD, and $GOLD settles by itself:
- When a market settles as YES or NO, each winning share pays exactly
1
$GOLD, and the house credits your purse. There is nothing to claim and nothing to sign: the payout arrives whether or not you are standing here. - Losing shares pay nothing. The stake is gone.
- If the source cancels the question, the market is Void and you get back what you paid for the shares you still hold.
The older $DEN markets behave differently. A winning share is claimed with a
wallet signature, and a void pays your share of the pot rather than your cost.
See Void rules.
